Tallow is considered to be non-comedogenic and we have several customers who have found that our tallow has actually improved their acne! For some people there may be a week or two where your skin adjusts, but most people don't even have an adjustment period.

One of our favorite things is how many compliments we get on the scent of our tallow balms, even our unscented blend. Because we render our tallow multiple times, the end result has no beefy smell to most people. But with that being said, some people might pick up a slight beefy scent at first. It goes away very quickly though.

Everywhere! But really, most people start out using tallow as just their face moisturizer, and then find that they love it so much they end up using it on most of their body. It works AMAZING to cobat dry, cracked skin in the winter and we personally use it as our full body lotion along with it being our face moisturizer.

A little goes a long ways! For your face, we recommend starting with a very small amount and dabbing it around your face with your fingers before rubbing it in gently. If you're using on your body, feel free to use more for that extra hydrated skin feeling!

Tallow works for almost everyone who uses it, because of it's similar makeup to our own skin and because it's non-comedogenic. However, we know that everyone's skin is unique and there are a very small amount of people who don't like to use it on their face.

There are several reasons that your tallow balm may vary in consistency. The time of year and weather can affect the consistency of the balms, along with what the cattle grazed on. Because it's a natural product, it's almost impossible to get every batch the exact same. That being said, we have been making tallow for so long that we are able to adapt to get most batches a very similar consistency. The good news is that the consistency of your tallow has no effect on its effectiveness!
